Cosplay Mania 2017

Cosplay Mania was the first cosplay event here in PH that I went to. After Chara Expo and STGCC in SG, I was in a hype of all things anime, cosplay, and other geek stuff. Anyways... I haven't missed Cosplay Mania since 2011. Yep, there was no write up for 2016 but I swear I was there. Hahaha~ Life became so busy for me that all I ever had were a few paragraphs. But now, I told myself that I should at least write some for 2017. Wheee~~

So September 30 and October 1 was Cosplay Mania. I went on Day 2. When I heard from the aftermath of Day 1 that the queue was over the top, I had my doubts of going. However, I told myself that I had to see my friends, too. True enough, the queue took me hours. It was unbelievable! I bought only the silver ticket, enough to see the cosplayers and merch booths inside the halls.

My feet were already killing me after the queue. And inside the venue was so crowded! The merch booths were jam packed, as well. I do appreciate the cosplayers there who were still willing to pose for the camera despite the crowd. Here they are...

A cosplay event has some toys, too. There were a few displays of Gundams and other cute mecha themed ones.

Aside from the displays, the sponsor booths gave out freebies, too. The Gunpla booth had the Gundam making contest. And of course, there's a big Gundam on sight, too.

Behind this Gundam, are people setting up theirs.
I find the Canon kiosk the best! You can print a photo with their Pikachu plushies. Oooh~ Those are so adorable! Here's a photo of me and my friend holding the Pikachu toys.

Oh~ So cutie Pikachu!

Overall, it was not the best Cosplay Mania for me but I still enjoyed the event. Cosplay and photography have always brought me happiness. Seeing my friends again made all the difference, too. It's nice to see that more people are interested in the hobby, now. So, I do hope that more improvements will be made in future events.

My loot. :)

Presenting The Starbucks 2014 Planner

There are a lot of 2014 planners available out there. For this post, let me share with you the 2014 Starbucks Planner. Every December, people are talking about it! The cover and the layouts are something to look forward to, as well. For this year, it came in four colors: yellow, magenta, brown, and black. The black one is the Philippine edition ( hmmm, tempting! ). I'm very much impressed because the cover feels like leather.  I will feature the magenta one. My friend owns this. I already have a planner for 2014, owning another doesn't make sense at all. Hehehe ~ So, I decided to take some photos of it and share what's inside. (^_^) Left: the box, Right: the planner.  The cover is embossed with coffee icons and Starbucks coffee blend logos. I noticed the symbol for their coffee Sumatra and the elephant icon for Kenya. The 2014 Starbucks Planner in magenta I saw the symbol of the Starbucks coffee blend Sumatra embossed on it. Here is a really cute featur

My Chouhou Gundam

I am so excited to write about the latest addition to my Gundam collection!  This time, I got it from the Gundam Caravan Booth last Best of Anime 2012 ! It was a fun-filled event full of cosplayers and various booths !  This time, we were given the Chouhou Gundam to setup. Uhm, I'm not sure if there is another name for this Gundam. However, the Katakana characters read as "Chouhou", so let me stick with that.  The box of Chouhou Gundam. Hey! This one is new! Other than the manual for setting up, there is also comics inside the box. Wow! It is great as I will get to know more about this Gundam! But time was of the essence, so I decided to move on with building and detailing and set aside reading for later. Comics inside the Chouhou Gundam box. So let us start with the steps in setting up. Here are the photos: We start off with the feet Then the head was next. Putting stickers on is hard, you know. Of course, we need the torso to connect the

Proud to be a Bella

May 21 2011 had been added to my list of memorable days thanks to the girls of Belle de Jour Power Planner. That special day was the BDJ Girls' Rendevous for the month of May. The theme was I Dream, therefore I can.  It was one of the biggest event to date. Almost 100 slots were available to be filled. The invitation to the event was given through various contests. I got my slot in this event through the Belle de Jour Facebook Fan Page. They posted a question at exactly 2:54 PM of May 5, 2011. They posted a question as their status which was: Question, Bellas:   How do you unwind/relax when you're stressed from school or work?   The first 25 BDJ Girls who will comment on THIS THREAD will get a slot at the BDJ Rendezvous: I Dream Therefore I Can! : ) When I saw that post, I immediately wrote "I watch my favorite teleserye." Woah! Believe it or not, I got the lucky 25th slot. Weee! The Rendevous was held in Ace Water Spa in Ortigas. I thought that swimming wi
