Weekend Getaway with Kiehl's

Last night was a blast! I love Kiehl’s and I have been using the brand for more than a year now. The event lover in me was thrilled when I found out that Kiehl’s are having events like the Happy Hour and the Kiehl's Getaway. These activities give me an update of their latest innovations in skin care. So I sent them a message to book my reservation right away.

In my busy life, I finally got the chance to go join the Kiehl’s Summer Getaway last night, June 13. I chose to go the SM Makati branch because it’s the nearest one and I have not yet visited there. Inside were summer-themed drinks! Green is cucumber while the yellow one is pineapple juice. Both of them tasted yummy! (^_^)

Colorful juices in cute dispensers!

The glasses were elegant, too.

Straws that remind us of holidays... happy days!
The KCR who accommodated me was Wilma. At first, I felt sorry for her because the crowd was building up and she was the lone KCR in the boutique. But no worries, she handled the situation with grace and a smile.

Me with KCR Wilma

I told her that my biggest concern is acne and dark acne spots. She was very kind and immediately got the products suited for me. Wilma recommended that I use the Kiehl’s Blue cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and BB cream. Plus, she added the Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution serum to the routine.

The recommended: Cleanser, toner, serum, blue moisturizer (not shown), and BB Cream

Yep, I washed my face in there (there was faucet and a sink in the store!). Then, Wilma expertly applied the others, all the while explaining their benefits. At home, I already use the Blue moisturizer and BB Cream. But what got me curious is the serum. She told me that it erases dark spots. Hmmm… should I buy?

The serum.

The consultation only took a few minutes, here is my mirror selfie afterwards...

And to cap off the visit, Wilma gave me samples to take home! Yay! I’m curious to try the Blue Cleanser and toner. How will it react to my ongoing routine now?

My samples for the night.

What made the night was the unforgettable store experience I got… and of course, the drinks and the samples helped, too. I absolutely love this weekend! (^_^)

I'm loving the Cucumber juice.

My Chouhou Gundam

I am so excited to write about the latest addition to my Gundam collection!  This time, I got it from the Gundam Caravan Booth last Best of Anime 2012 ! It was a fun-filled event full of cosplayers and various booths !  This time, we were given the Chouhou Gundam to setup. Uhm, I'm not sure if there is another name for this Gundam. However, the Katakana characters read as "Chouhou", so let me stick with that.  The box of Chouhou Gundam. Hey! This one is new! Other than the manual for setting up, there is also comics inside the box. Wow! It is great as I will get to know more about this Gundam! But time was of the essence, so I decided to move on with building and detailing and set aside reading for later. Comics inside the Chouhou Gundam box. So let us start with the steps in setting up. Here are the photos: We start off with the feet Then the head was next. Putting stickers on is hard, you know. Of course, we need the torso to connect the

Proud to be a Bella

May 21 2011 had been added to my list of memorable days thanks to the girls of Belle de Jour Power Planner. That special day was the BDJ Girls' Rendevous for the month of May. The theme was I Dream, therefore I can.  It was one of the biggest event to date. Almost 100 slots were available to be filled. The invitation to the event was given through various contests. I got my slot in this event through the Belle de Jour Facebook Fan Page. They posted a question at exactly 2:54 PM of May 5, 2011. They posted a question as their status which was: Question, Bellas:   How do you unwind/relax when you're stressed from school or work?   The first 25 BDJ Girls who will comment on THIS THREAD will get a slot at the BDJ Rendezvous: I Dream Therefore I Can! : ) When I saw that post, I immediately wrote "I watch my favorite teleserye." Woah! Believe it or not, I got the lucky 25th slot. Weee! The Rendevous was held in Ace Water Spa in Ortigas. I thought that swimming wi

My Playlist

My taste for music spans a lot of genre! I like Pop, Rock, Alternative, K-pop, J-pop, and RnB. What makes me like the song is the lyrics foremost, and rhythm would be next. I am not really a music junkie. I can't even sing! But I turn to music to make me relax whenever I'm stressed out. It also makes me forget time. As of the moment, my playlist involves a lot of K-Pop songs, thanks to Rain for that matter. There are also Filipino, English and Japanese songs. When I play music, I really pay attention to it. I listen to the rhythm, the tempo, the artist's voice, and the overall emotions of the song. That was how my music critique self was born! It's been a long time since I posted an album review. My playlist for the moment is as shown below. I usually put it on shuffle so this is not ranked according to how I like the music. Credits of the YouTube videos that I embedded goes to their respective owners.  1. My Way by Rain - This is the only song which made me cry
