STGCC Day 1

September 6 was the first day of STGCC. And when boyfie +Ian Ho  told me that he was going to the event for two days, my heart jump in excitement! "Pictures!", I said. And that was an order! Hahaha~ I may not be able to go to Singapore right away but at least, he is there  to cover the event for me. And to us, that is good news! (^_^)

The Singapore Toy, Game, and Comic Convention (STGCC) is an annual event in Singapore showcasing the latest in toys and comics. It was held at the posh Marina Bay Sands this year!

Ian took photos of the stage, toys, and cosplayers. I can tell just by the pictures that he enjoyed the event and had a wonderful time! (^_^)

A Star Wars booth greeted the attendees of the STGCC. Woah! A stormtrooper greeting you!

The main highlight of the STGCC is the toys. Ian took a whole lot of photos of it. They're so amazing that I have decided to make a separate post of it. But lemme give you a teaser of some sort... Here are a few of my favorite toys on display...

Sailormoon!

Awww..  isn't this Baby Groot a cutie pie?

Alrighty! Pokemon!
Aside from the toys, cosplay is also part of the event. I'm so glad to see photos of what cosplay in Singapore is all about. As always, the craftsmanship is a sight to behold!

Vincent Valentine from FF7

Rule 63 version of the Pyramid from Silent Hill

Mary Jane cosplay

Sailor soldiers from the anime Sailormoon

Batman!

Sazh from Final Fantasy 13

Bucky the winter soldier and Captain America cosplay

Drefan as Thor
What I liked further about STGCC is the incredible lineup of cosplayer guests. And look! They can roam freely in the hall and have fan interaction with the attendees! So, boyfie was able to take photos of them upclose! Lucky guy!

Lenneth XVII is a Singaporean cosplayer. Her cosplays of male characters are so charming and handsome. You can see more of her cosplays at http://worldcosplay.net/member/LennethXVII/ She cosplayed Zero from Drakengard 3 in the photos below.

Another guest is Aliga. Isn’t she cute? She is well known for her cute outfits. Say it with me: “Moeeeeeeeeee”. This time, my camera shy boyfie posed for a picture with her. GHPAHKJDHPAHDFAHDF!!!!!

And... our favorite cosplayer of the day is.... I AM GROOT! With his cute Rocket plushie! Awww... and the costume really looks like a tree with all the minute details. Even boyfie looked so happy and flashed his cute smile when he saw him.

That is our coverage of the STGCC Day 1. Looking at the photos made me want to go back to SG and attend a convention (which I wasn't able to do last time). But oh wait! Stay tuned for our post about STGCC Day 2. (^_^)

Presenting The Starbucks 2014 Planner

There are a lot of 2014 planners available out there. For this post, let me share with you the 2014 Starbucks Planner. Every December, people are talking about it! The cover and the layouts are something to look forward to, as well. For this year, it came in four colors: yellow, magenta, brown, and black. The black one is the Philippine edition ( hmmm, tempting! ). I'm very much impressed because the cover feels like leather.  I will feature the magenta one. My friend owns this. I already have a planner for 2014, owning another doesn't make sense at all. Hehehe ~ So, I decided to take some photos of it and share what's inside. (^_^) Left: the box, Right: the planner.  The cover is embossed with coffee icons and Starbucks coffee blend logos. I noticed the symbol for their coffee Sumatra and the elephant icon for Kenya. The 2014 Starbucks Planner in magenta I saw the symbol of the Starbucks coffee blend Sumatra embossed on it. Here is a really cute featur

My Chouhou Gundam

I am so excited to write about the latest addition to my Gundam collection!  This time, I got it from the Gundam Caravan Booth last Best of Anime 2012 ! It was a fun-filled event full of cosplayers and various booths !  This time, we were given the Chouhou Gundam to setup. Uhm, I'm not sure if there is another name for this Gundam. However, the Katakana characters read as "Chouhou", so let me stick with that.  The box of Chouhou Gundam. Hey! This one is new! Other than the manual for setting up, there is also comics inside the box. Wow! It is great as I will get to know more about this Gundam! But time was of the essence, so I decided to move on with building and detailing and set aside reading for later. Comics inside the Chouhou Gundam box. So let us start with the steps in setting up. Here are the photos: We start off with the feet Then the head was next. Putting stickers on is hard, you know. Of course, we need the torso to connect the

Proud to be a Bella

May 21 2011 had been added to my list of memorable days thanks to the girls of Belle de Jour Power Planner. That special day was the BDJ Girls' Rendevous for the month of May. The theme was I Dream, therefore I can.  It was one of the biggest event to date. Almost 100 slots were available to be filled. The invitation to the event was given through various contests. I got my slot in this event through the Belle de Jour Facebook Fan Page. They posted a question at exactly 2:54 PM of May 5, 2011. They posted a question as their status which was: Question, Bellas:   How do you unwind/relax when you're stressed from school or work?   The first 25 BDJ Girls who will comment on THIS THREAD will get a slot at the BDJ Rendezvous: I Dream Therefore I Can! : ) When I saw that post, I immediately wrote "I watch my favorite teleserye." Woah! Believe it or not, I got the lucky 25th slot. Weee! The Rendevous was held in Ace Water Spa in Ortigas. I thought that swimming wi
