Ozine Fest 2014

After about a month, I finally have the time to just sit down and write about the cosplay event that I attended in the last week of April. Oh? Is it May now? I wasn't able to keep track of time. Hahaha~ I apologize for not being able to write about it sooner. I have been keeping tabs on the business that is life. But nothing will stop me from writing about cosplay, not even time. Hehehe

So back to the topic... Ozine Fest 2014 was held on April 25-27 at SMX Convention Center. My schedule only permitted me to attend the third day.

I have attended a lot of events in the past but I gotta say, I got intimidated when I saw how long the queue was! Woah!

Since there was no way I could possibly get in, I took photos of my friends as we stayed at the second floor and waited for the right time to barge in. For this event, I was invited by my friends to be Xion and be part of their Kingdom Hearts cosplay group! Yay! Xion suits me perfectly and donning the costume is no problem. And it was the first time for me to join a cosplay group, as well. So I was very excited! Yay!

Furthermore, I also took photos of the cosplayers who were passing by our standby area. Here they are:

Cute chibi cosplayers as Elsa and Anna from Frozen

Sailormoon! Yay!

Sailor Mars

Sailor Venus

...and Sailor Moon

Two thumbs up for this Jack Frost cosplayer! (^_^)

as Anna from Frozen

as Ariel from The Little Mermaid

It was about 3PM when the crowd thinned up a bit and only then was I able to get tickets. It was a sigh of relief for me! Yes, finally!

My Ozine Fest 2014 ticket
Yeah, I know it was not the usual colored ticket. Hehehe~ Apparently, there were pre-sold tickets and it was in plastic card form AND colored! It is also cheaper by PhP50. Sigh... Maybe I was somewhere in Pluto when the pre-selling was announced because I had absolutely no idea about it. Hahaha~ However, my friends were able to get one beforehand. The ticket was so gorgeous that I just had to take a photo!

Surprisingly, it wasn't that much crowded inside the venue. Sure, there were lots of attendees but there was still space to move about. And so, I roamed and took photos of cosplayers once more...

Lionel as Ken from Street Fighter

Steven as Sora of Kingdom Hearts

Rosette as Elso from Frozen
*Drum roll* My favorite cosplayer of the day is... this cosplayer as Sakura Kinomoto of Cardcaptor Sakura. She captured the costume of the transformed Sakura. Her attention to detail was really good. She even had the cards and the staff itself. Both of the accessories are really nice to look at. The key essential elements of Cardcaptor Sakura’s costume are actually those accessories and she successfully nailed them down.

See the intricate details of the costume and accessories!

Sakura Kinomoto has come to life! (^_^)
Well, finally at long last, I managed to blog about the event. Yes~ Even though it did take almost a month. What can I say? Sometimes, other circumstances will take the fore even over my hobbies. But as the saying goes, better late than never! Hahaha~

All in all, it was a truly fun event. While I attend Ozine Fest every year, this was my first time as part of a cosplay group. Acting out dioramas from the various scenes in the game was an amazing experience. It is like being the character for real. Here's to hoping that I can attend more events as a group next time. Though I would need to obtain more costumes…Ah well~ Guess I just gotta find a way to make more time. AjaFighting!

Wow, you really did capture the moments. Looked like nearly everyone went to day 3... I was there, but day 1 only though, but still, enjoyable nonetheless.

And by the way, I'd like to share my coverage of this event (plus other cosplay events and ones I'll be attending, and more) at my blog at: ametromanilaguy.blogspot.com. Just look for it there.

Presenting The Starbucks 2014 Planner

There are a lot of 2014 planners available out there. For this post, let me share with you the 2014 Starbucks Planner. Every December, people are talking about it! The cover and the layouts are something to look forward to, as well. For this year, it came in four colors: yellow, magenta, brown, and black. The black one is the Philippine edition ( hmmm, tempting! ). I'm very much impressed because the cover feels like leather.  I will feature the magenta one. My friend owns this. I already have a planner for 2014, owning another doesn't make sense at all. Hehehe ~ So, I decided to take some photos of it and share what's inside. (^_^) Left: the box, Right: the planner.  The cover is embossed with coffee icons and Starbucks coffee blend logos. I noticed the symbol for their coffee Sumatra and the elephant icon for Kenya. The 2014 Starbucks Planner in magenta I saw the symbol of the Starbucks coffee blend Sumatra embossed on it. Here is a really cute featur

My Chouhou Gundam

I am so excited to write about the latest addition to my Gundam collection!  This time, I got it from the Gundam Caravan Booth last Best of Anime 2012 ! It was a fun-filled event full of cosplayers and various booths !  This time, we were given the Chouhou Gundam to setup. Uhm, I'm not sure if there is another name for this Gundam. However, the Katakana characters read as "Chouhou", so let me stick with that.  The box of Chouhou Gundam. Hey! This one is new! Other than the manual for setting up, there is also comics inside the box. Wow! It is great as I will get to know more about this Gundam! But time was of the essence, so I decided to move on with building and detailing and set aside reading for later. Comics inside the Chouhou Gundam box. So let us start with the steps in setting up. Here are the photos: We start off with the feet Then the head was next. Putting stickers on is hard, you know. Of course, we need the torso to connect the

Proud to be a Bella

May 21 2011 had been added to my list of memorable days thanks to the girls of Belle de Jour Power Planner. That special day was the BDJ Girls' Rendevous for the month of May. The theme was I Dream, therefore I can.  It was one of the biggest event to date. Almost 100 slots were available to be filled. The invitation to the event was given through various contests. I got my slot in this event through the Belle de Jour Facebook Fan Page. They posted a question at exactly 2:54 PM of May 5, 2011. They posted a question as their status which was: Question, Bellas:   How do you unwind/relax when you're stressed from school or work?   The first 25 BDJ Girls who will comment on THIS THREAD will get a slot at the BDJ Rendezvous: I Dream Therefore I Can! : ) When I saw that post, I immediately wrote "I watch my favorite teleserye." Woah! Believe it or not, I got the lucky 25th slot. Weee! The Rendevous was held in Ace Water Spa in Ortigas. I thought that swimming wi
