[Review] Queen Bee Lipstick from Colour Collection

Best Blogger Tips
After some months of no makeup reviews, here I am making one at last! And the inspiration that got me writing? This unique Queen Bee lipstick given out by Sample Room! This is one of the Ultimate Wear Lipstick line from Colour Collection. I tried this sample for five days straight to get a feel of the product.

The lipstick box

The red of Queen Bee

The description above is the official statement of the product. It also claims that it lasts for up to 8 hours, unless you eat something oily. It also boasts to be non-drying.

The description part at the back of the box
And true enough, the color itself screams 'power'. It is red with an orange hue. Reds such as this shade is perfect for parties!

It only took me one swipe for a rich and vibrant color. As for longevity, it stays true to its claim. The color would stay even after 8 hours or more, depending on the food that you eat. On the first day, it lasted for 10 hours, though the color was not as vibrant as the first application. On the next day, it only lasted for four hours because I had adobo for lunch.  It fades as time goes by.

The color flatters me so well that I get a lot of compliments from people. And they can't stop staring at me (or at my lips). Hehehe~ I received a lot of positive remarks: beautiful, suits well, and mesmerized! I really wasn't used to being the center of attention and it did get a little awkward sometimes

And removing it wasn't a hassle, at all. It just came off when I brushed my teeth. But for emergency cases, you would really need a lip and eye makeup remover as ordinary tissue wipes won't take it off completely.

And the verdict?

My review left at Sample Room
Yep, I am so in love with this lippie. I find that this is a rare shade of red that compliments well for me. It is dark enough to be noticed, but not too dark to be intimidating.

Rain and HyunA

Best Blogger Tips
After four months, the Rain Effect still leaves a mark in me. It is a great album and if I have all the time in the world, I would feature each track in a full write up. For this sixth volume, Rain had a song which featured the K-Pop artist HyunA. It is entitled "Where are you going, Oppa?" and it has a nice Arabian-like beat infused with bass and hip hop, it hints of sexiness too.

For today, I will write about this song that was successful in bringing out a reaction in me. Let’s listen…

So now you understand why it brought a reaction in me? Hehehe~ It means that the artist is successful in bringing out the emotion through a song. One thing is for sure, Rain chose the perfect girl to sing with him. Both are top caliber artists in their own field. And because of him, I now like HyunA and I researched about her.

Kum Hyuna (HyunA)
I already know the entertainer named HyunA. I can't remember how, though. I just know her as the name is quite famous in K-Pop. And with HyunA, the girl band 4Minute comes to mind, as well. I know them from their song "Hot Issue" as it used in a TV show in my country. The hosts of the show would say "Hooooot issuuuuuue" and then the song would play in the background

Not only that, they are the endorsers for Samsung's La Fleur collection. I bought the S3 Mini La Fleur version because of the gorgeous girly patterns on the casing, helping me feel like a princess. Up to now, I'm not tempted to get the latest smartphones. Well, they need to come up with a girly line for me to buy it. Kekeke~

4Minute for Samsung La Fleur Collection
4Minute and HyunA’s music are also nice to listen to. The songs give a rebellious party vibe coupled with femininity and cuteness. It is a twist to the rebel-edgy style that we usually see.

Other than that,  I also like her makeup. Kekeke~ Now that, I always notice. She pulls the ultimate dark lips so well without being over the top. So where is that HyunA makeup tutorial link?

And oooh.... looks like an addition to my 2014 Cosplans, yes?

So ugh… am I out of the topic already? Kekeke~ Yep, this is still a Rain-inspired post. This man surely knows where to get the best talents for song collaborations. I gotta admire him more for introducing me to HyunA and her music.

A Taste of Japan's Sweets at Mochi Cream

Best Blogger Tips
I love eating Mochi! I love it so much that I would put mochi balls as the toppings on my yogurt. I like the different variants such as Mochi Poochi's ice cream mochi and it was really delicious.

So when I saw a friend in Facebook posting about Mochi Cream’s desserts and how he doesn't mind spending for it, I became quite curious about it. Mochi Cream claims to serve the authentic mochi from Japan. That made me even more excited to try it out that I went to Glorietta last weekend.

When I got there, I expected all the usual sweet stuff: chocolates, strawberries, blueberries, vanilla…. but I got surprised with what I saw. On their posters are the flavors green tea, black sesame, matcha, red bean, sakura…. I mean, are these desserts? But according to boyfie, those are the real flavors from Japan.

There are also chocolate and vanilla in the menu, but only a little. I’m used to western desserts and pastries that are more on the sweeter side. Japanese desserts are different, I guess. Theirs is still more on the ‘herbal’ and ‘plant’ side of things. Hehehe~

So anyway, for my purchase, I chose the flavor I’m most curious with: Sakura. It was the most attractive in the bunch, being in cute pink! (^_^) But yeah, my sweet tooth side just won’t let me go and I ordered Chocolate Banana too,

The staff were nice and they served my mochi gourmet style, complete with presentation. The mochi were cut in half and so I saw the creative layers inside. Cool!

Mochi Cream's mochi (^_^)

Both mochi were frozen at first but they’re chewable already. Biting into the chewy skin, I tasted something akin to red bean paste with a flower flavor. The cream at the center tasted like vanilla.  It might be just me, but the sakura flavor mochi has a floral taste. Ah well, just go and taste if for yourself because I can’t describe it. It was unique and distinctive.

For the Chocolate Banana, the bean paste was all about banana with chocolate chips. The cream in the center is chocolate. It is gently sweet. The flavor of glutinous rice is still dominant. Of course, I choose this to be better than Sakura, hey, I am a sweet tooth. Hehehe~

These babies are really delicious and yes, they taste like Japan! Now, I’m addicted with Mochi Cream too! Woah~ The staff will really be familiar with my face this time. And just like my friend, I will not think twice of spending for these lovely mochi!

Lipstick for My 11th Sample Room Haul

Best Blogger Tips
"Bagay sa 'yo ang shade ng Queen Bee (The shade of Queen Bee would look great on you)," said my friend Joey of Dragon Chatter. We were seated beside each other during the talk segment of the BDJ Box Tres Chic event. Both of us love cosmetics and samples! I heard from her that Sample Room was giving away lipsticks from Colour Collection in full size!

A recommendation from a friend is the best marketing a product can have. So when I got home, I logged in Sample Room and got the Colour Collection Ultimate Wear Lipstick in Queen Bee shade!

Finally, after 10 hauls in Sample Room, I got myself a cosmetic product. This is my second product from Colour Collection. My first was the BB Cream which I also got from Sample Room. I am beginning to like this brand as their products are at par with known brands in the market today.

So here it is! My Queen Bee lipstick...  and it came with a bonus sample from Celeteque!

My 11th Sample Room haul: lipstick and cleansing oil
The Queen Bee shade, 95 SR Points
The lipstick case has a transparent part which gives you a preview of the shade. Like the color so far? Oh, I absolutely love it! I am currently on my fifth day of road test and it gets the attention of people every time. Ya'll know that I have not written about makeup recently. Well, I think we got a topic now. (^_^)

Queen Bee is only 95 SR points and there are still available stocks. Go grab 'em before it's gone!

Lee Min Ho Mall Tour in Glorietta

Best Blogger Tips
I never expected our paths to cross again.

Hehehe~ Actually, I attended the BDJ Box Tres Chic event in SM Aura on the day of March 23, 2014. But I passed by Glorietta on my way home. It was already 5:30 PM and I heard screams from the event center. Then I was like, "Oh yeah, today is March 23! Lee Min Ho would be here in Glorietta today". I know from poster announcements that he will be having mall tours.

I remembered my experience during the Lee Min Ho Mall Tour in SM Mall of Asia in 2012. The place was packed and I was among some of the first who arrived early to see him. It was my first time seeing a Korean actor in person. It was truly unforgettable!

So back to the topic, the screams were loud but the event hasn't started yet. I had another purpose of passing by the mall, so I had to go the the appointment first. After that, I went back to the lobby, and passed by the activity center once more.

Then I heard event host Sam Oh's voice and I saw a tall man who towered over the crowds waving to the audience, their screams deafening. This was my view from the second floor:

Since I was at the venue, I decided that I might as well cover the event since it was such a fortuitous opportunity. Though I wasn't mentally prepared for it, I had my cellphone camera to record the experience Ugh... I apologize if my photos are blurred, I used my cellphone in taking photos. I didn't expect that I would see Lee Min Ho again, so I drained my digicam's battery at the Tres Chic event.

So I hurriedly went to the stage, good thing the back part had no backdrop. I could see Lee Min Ho closer than I had two years ago. Very close, in fact that he was just ten to fifteen steps away, I think. Ah yes~ This time around, I'm nearer him... but I saw his back most of the time. Funny how life is that way. Hehehe~

Here are my photos taken by cellphone. The view is nearer in real life. (^_^)

Lee Min Ho being interviewed by Sam Oh

Lee Min Ho speaking to the audience
Just like from two years ago, Lee Min Ho gave out autographed posters and handshakes to fans:

Fans excitedly fall in line for Lee Min Ho

After about 15 minutes, Lee Min Ho stood up and waved goodbye to the audience. This time, he turned around and waved at us too. And I saw his face clearly, his eyes, his smile, and his prominent cheekbones. His skin is very flawless AND looked poreless. The girls around me, certified LMH fans, screamed, "Oppa~ Oppa~ Saranghaeyo Oppa~". And me? I waved back at him and thought to myself, "What a handsome young man."

Of course, the last bit of my cellphone battery is for the video of Lee Min Ho leaving the stage. So here it is, be prepared for deafening screams~

Sorry if the camera is not centered on him, I was focused on actually seeing him with my eyes. If you video someone and look at the screen, you miss a lot of emotion, the kind that is felt on seeing the person for real and not through the lens. A feeling of "Wow! I can't believe this is happening" moment.

And then he went away, there was just me and him amongst a sea of people, in a fleeting moment, never expecting that our paths was crossing again.
