It's St. Michael's Feast Day

September 29. It's my Angel's Feast Day! I'm honoring him today by dedicating this post. It's been a long time since I wrote about him. St. Michael is the reason why I started this blog. Now, after four years of blogging, I don't know if he will be proud of me. My posts have become too random and materialistic. Looks like I would have to strike a balance in the topics that I write.  Whenever I pray: Sáncte Míchael Archángele, defénde nos in proélio, cóntra nequítiam et insídias diáboli ésto præsídium. Ímperet ílli Déus, súpplices deprecámur: tuque, prínceps milítiæ cæléstis, Sátanam aliósque spíritus malígnos, qui ad perditiónem animárum pervagántur in múndo, divína virtúte, in inférnum detrúde. Ámen St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do thou, oh Prince of the Heavenly Host,  by the power of God, thrust down into hell Satan and all evil spiri

[Review] Snoe Hair Heroes "Intense" PM Repair Argan Oil

I am in search for products that reacts well with my dry and curly hair. So the second one on my list is Snoe Hair Heroes "Intense" PM Repair Argan Oil. Actually, I had no plans of buying it. I was just passing by the Snoe store in Landmark, remembered my friend Helen who likes it, and paused for a while to take a look. However, the SA was so kind to me that I was encouraged to buy. LOL! Never underestimate the power of good customer service!  I have heard raves about Snoe products. Since I was specifically looking for hair care, I chose to get the "Intense" PM Repair Argan Oil. Priced at PhP249.00, I find it expensive for a 50mL bottle. But I know that Argan Oil is already pricey, so I guess the tag is justified.  Snoe Hair Heroes "Intense" PM Repair Argan Oil. PhP 249.00 It has Argan Oil and Jojoba Oil, both known for their intensive moisturizing capability. Argan Oil is gaining popularity for hair care, so my expectations were high when I g

I have heard of  http://worldcosplay.net/ before but at first, I didn't give a thought of creating an account there. It's because my cosplays are still unsatisfactory and still needs a lot of work. But what made me change my mind?  Well, I received some coscards last Fantasy Quest . Those cards were cute and catchy! [Review] OTJ: On The Job

Synopsis: The cycle of life and death and scheming at its highest level are on full display in ON THE JOB, a gritty crime thriller that delves deep into the inner-workings of the ingenious hitmen, honest cops, ambitious federal agents, and shady government officials. The film is based on the true scandal that rocked the Philippines where prison inmates were contracted by high-level politicians to temporarily leave jail and conduct a series of assassinations before returning to incarceration. When I read that movie synopsis at the cinema entrance, I said right away, "This movie is worth a shot!" With a unique plot like that, who can refuse?  On The Job is an action-crime indie film directed by Erik Matti.   From start to end, it gave a vivid representation of our daily news. It showed the reality of Philippine streets where crimes and vices seem normal. It was a world where the good struggle over the empowering evil.  The story revolves around Tatang (Joel Tor

When I Met Jin Joson

"It's Jin Joson !", I overheard one of the cosplayers say softly. I quickly turned my head and scanned across the crowd to find her, only to see that she was just a few yards in front of me! Then I looked at her, this person who I only saw in pictures! I couldn't help but to admire her cosplay craft more! I'll be honest, it was about a year ago when I knew of Jin Joson. She cosplayed Naruto so well that I thought she was a guy.  Photo credits:  http://behindinfinity.deviantart.com/ Jin Joson as Naruto Then I saw photos of her cosplaying female characters, too! Jin Joson as Alice What impeccable skill to cosplay both male and female characters! It was then that she got my admiration.  I always waited for the opportunity to see her! There were local events that I attended, and it turned out that she was there, as well. Fate never let us meet. Until... ... Fantasy Quest 3 ! The simple and interactive environment gave me the best opportunity to fin

[Review] Sweet Recipe Baby Choux Base from Etude House

I have have been learning and exploring about makeup ever since I started cosplaying. The world of makeup is so vast! Colors, shades, hues, skin type... Who knew it would be so complicated!  However, I like the little discoveries I make in every step. Slow, yes, but I am getting there.  After attending beauty workshops, I leaned about makeup bases or primers. It claims to make your skin flawless-looking and keeps your makeup in place. Popular cosplayers raved about primers in their blogs, too. So I thought, "Why not just try it out, then?" Since I like Korean cosmetics, the store that came to mind as I hunt for makeup bases is Etude House. When I went there, the SA happily assisted me. When I asked for a primer that would go best with my oily face and skin color, she recommended that I have the Baby Choux Base in Berry (#02). I trusted her without questions and bought one right away! Sweet Recipe Baby Choux Base in Berry (PhP628.00) Ah~ So you've noticed that t
