[Review] Kiehl's Actively Correcting and Beautifying BB Cream

Kiehl's has always been a hit among beauty bloggers. I have read nothing but positive reviews about this brand. Finally, it's my turn to rave! I grabbed the chance to have my previous BB Cream swapped for Kiehl's. Truth be told, I doubted whether it would be worth it to exchange my PhP700+ BB Cream for a 5mL sample. But now, it turned out to be better by a mile! I never regret it!

The 5mL BB Cream sample from Kiehl's.
I used the Actively Correcting and Beautifying BB Cream for nine straight days now. I'm pretty sure I will continue using it until the sample is used up. It's that good! I didn't expect much from this product because BB creams only conceal, right? So I didn't take any before photos of myself.

The product's appearance is a opaque light brown liquid. I had the one in Light shade so maybe it will differ with Fair and Natural colors. The consistency is fluid enough and I didn't have a hard time spreading it on my skin. My experience: it blended with my skin perfectly! Here are some swatches:

Swatches of Kiehl's BB Cream.
What I like most is the fact that the product doesn't feel heavy on my face at all. Unlike most BB Creams in the market, this one didn't have the pearly-dewy sheen effect. It only gave me a smooth powdery finish. I like it that way, actually.

Let me say that again... BB creams only conceal, right? Not with this Kiehl's BB Cream! The results were visible after only five days of my continuous usage. True to its name, it really does correct skin discoloration. It cleared up my blemishes, too! And most all, it firmed up my skin! I can skip my anti-aging serum on this one!

As for some disadvantages, this BB cream smells like wax or crayons. It is very prominent when you open the bottle. The odor is a turn off, actually. That was one of the reasons why I didn't believe in this product at first. But don't worry, the smell goes away after application. Other than that, I have oily skin but the product didn't give me sebum control.

However, the positive results outweigh the negative ones by far! Ah well, even if I didn't have a before photo, I do have an after photo to share with you. I have noticed that my skin clarified and blemishes disappeared. This one was taken after nine days of regular application of Kiehl's BB cream:

The full 30mL bottle of this product costs PhP1,995. It's expensive, I know. But I like this product so much that I will save up for this! Besides, the 5mL sample is still far from being empty! LOL!

Kiehl's Actively Correcting and Beautifying BB Cream is effective! It did well beyond my expectations. This BB cream is the one for me! I will try my best to get used to the waxy odor but I hope that Kiehl's can improve on it. The product works and I have become a fan! Now I know why Kiehl's is a hit among beauty bloggers. It's because their products deliver!

My Chouhou Gundam

I am so excited to write about the latest addition to my Gundam collection!  This time, I got it from the Gundam Caravan Booth last Best of Anime 2012 ! It was a fun-filled event full of cosplayers and various booths !  This time, we were given the Chouhou Gundam to setup. Uhm, I'm not sure if there is another name for this Gundam. However, the Katakana characters read as "Chouhou", so let me stick with that.  The box of Chouhou Gundam. Hey! This one is new! Other than the manual for setting up, there is also comics inside the box. Wow! It is great as I will get to know more about this Gundam! But time was of the essence, so I decided to move on with building and detailing and set aside reading for later. Comics inside the Chouhou Gundam box. So let us start with the steps in setting up. Here are the photos: We start off with the feet Then the head was next. Putting stickers on is hard, you know. Of course, we need the torso to connect the

Proud to be a Bella

May 21 2011 had been added to my list of memorable days thanks to the girls of Belle de Jour Power Planner. That special day was the BDJ Girls' Rendevous for the month of May. The theme was I Dream, therefore I can.  It was one of the biggest event to date. Almost 100 slots were available to be filled. The invitation to the event was given through various contests. I got my slot in this event through the Belle de Jour Facebook Fan Page. They posted a question at exactly 2:54 PM of May 5, 2011. They posted a question as their status which was: Question, Bellas:   How do you unwind/relax when you're stressed from school or work?   The first 25 BDJ Girls who will comment on THIS THREAD will get a slot at the BDJ Rendezvous: I Dream Therefore I Can! : ) When I saw that post, I immediately wrote "I watch my favorite teleserye." Woah! Believe it or not, I got the lucky 25th slot. Weee! The Rendevous was held in Ace Water Spa in Ortigas. I thought that swimming wi

My Playlist

My taste for music spans a lot of genre! I like Pop, Rock, Alternative, K-pop, J-pop, and RnB. What makes me like the song is the lyrics foremost, and rhythm would be next. I am not really a music junkie. I can't even sing! But I turn to music to make me relax whenever I'm stressed out. It also makes me forget time. As of the moment, my playlist involves a lot of K-Pop songs, thanks to Rain for that matter. There are also Filipino, English and Japanese songs. When I play music, I really pay attention to it. I listen to the rhythm, the tempo, the artist's voice, and the overall emotions of the song. That was how my music critique self was born! It's been a long time since I posted an album review. My playlist for the moment is as shown below. I usually put it on shuffle so this is not ranked according to how I like the music. Credits of the YouTube videos that I embedded goes to their respective owners.  1. My Way by Rain - This is the only song which made me cry
