Oz The Great and Powerful Movie Screening Highlights

Nuffnang Philippines, Abenson Appliances, and Nokia LUMIA brought to us a special movie screening of Oz The Great and Powerful on March 7, 2013.  The place to be was Shang Cineplex Cinema 1.

I joined in the Nokia LUMIA contest and I won four tickets to this event. I was so happy that it came with popcorn and drinks too!

The tickets that I won!

... and food stubs! :)
This was my first Nuffnang event that I participated. Lots of bloggers were there. Thankfully, I saw my friends Ria and Krystle. I also met Chin Chin and her family, to which I gave my remaining three tickets.

Nokia and Abenson had booths there. I explored once again the features of the latest LUMIA series and I couldn't help but hope for it.

Before the movie screening started, three lucky bloggers won Nokia LUMIA phones. I didn't win, sadly. Better luck next time I guess. I didn't take any photos of it because I thought it is not allowed inside the cinemas.

Oz The Great and Powerful is about the story of Oz. Yup, no Dorothy and her friends here. The movie had amazing effects. The starting credits had that paper theater theme. The plot was light and some scenes were funny. It also had the usual good vs. evil element. This movie is perfect for kids and for those who want a good hearty laugh, like me!

Before we went home, I was so happy that Nokia gave out freebies! Yay! I got a pillow, T-shirt, fridge magnet, and 2 GB flash drive!

The freebies!
I am happy that I get to experience this movie screening organized by Nuffnang PH. This is the start of me entering more Nuffnang contests in the future! Fight on!

My Chouhou Gundam

I am so excited to write about the latest addition to my Gundam collection!  This time, I got it from the Gundam Caravan Booth last Best of Anime 2012 ! It was a fun-filled event full of cosplayers and various booths !  This time, we were given the Chouhou Gundam to setup. Uhm, I'm not sure if there is another name for this Gundam. However, the Katakana characters read as "Chouhou", so let me stick with that.  The box of Chouhou Gundam. Hey! This one is new! Other than the manual for setting up, there is also comics inside the box. Wow! It is great as I will get to know more about this Gundam! But time was of the essence, so I decided to move on with building and detailing and set aside reading for later. Comics inside the Chouhou Gundam box. So let us start with the steps in setting up. Here are the photos: We start off with the feet Then the head was next. Putting stickers on is hard, you know. Of course, we need the torso to connect the

Proud to be a Bella

May 21 2011 had been added to my list of memorable days thanks to the girls of Belle de Jour Power Planner. That special day was the BDJ Girls' Rendevous for the month of May. The theme was I Dream, therefore I can.  It was one of the biggest event to date. Almost 100 slots were available to be filled. The invitation to the event was given through various contests. I got my slot in this event through the Belle de Jour Facebook Fan Page. They posted a question at exactly 2:54 PM of May 5, 2011. They posted a question as their status which was: Question, Bellas:   How do you unwind/relax when you're stressed from school or work?   The first 25 BDJ Girls who will comment on THIS THREAD will get a slot at the BDJ Rendezvous: I Dream Therefore I Can! : ) When I saw that post, I immediately wrote "I watch my favorite teleserye." Woah! Believe it or not, I got the lucky 25th slot. Weee! The Rendevous was held in Ace Water Spa in Ortigas. I thought that swimming wi

My Playlist

My taste for music spans a lot of genre! I like Pop, Rock, Alternative, K-pop, J-pop, and RnB. What makes me like the song is the lyrics foremost, and rhythm would be next. I am not really a music junkie. I can't even sing! But I turn to music to make me relax whenever I'm stressed out. It also makes me forget time. As of the moment, my playlist involves a lot of K-Pop songs, thanks to Rain for that matter. There are also Filipino, English and Japanese songs. When I play music, I really pay attention to it. I listen to the rhythm, the tempo, the artist's voice, and the overall emotions of the song. That was how my music critique self was born! It's been a long time since I posted an album review. My playlist for the moment is as shown below. I usually put it on shuffle so this is not ranked according to how I like the music. Credits of the YouTube videos that I embedded goes to their respective owners.  1. My Way by Rain - This is the only song which made me cry
