[Review] Dove White Beauty Bar Soap

Dove has been one of my favorite brands. It never fails to leave my skin soft and moisturized after every bath. But as I look back, I realized that I have not yet written a review about this beloved soap. When Sample Room offered a free bar soap, I ordered one to experience Dove effects on my skin once more.

Dove White Beauty Bar Soap from Sample Room.
Dove cost me 5 Sample Room points, but it was worth it as they gave out a full size of 50 grams. Come to think of it, I made a right decision to include a body care product to my first Sample Room haul

The simple smell of Dove Soap was great upon opening of the package. The product was of course a perfect white bar with a Dove logo engraved at the center. It was cute and I hesitated to use it. But I need to! (*sad*) Unlike most bar soaps, Dove has a different consistency. You would feel it is of softer solid than others. I held it longer and I could almost feel it slowly melting in my hands.

The cute Dove logo.
Not much bubbles form when Dove soap is used. I am just not used to soap not having enough foam. However, with that came an instant feel of moisture on my skin. It made me comfortable enough to stay longer in the shower, not ever wanting to rinse it off. I got melancholic as I watched the foam go down the drain. Little that I know that my encounter with Dove doesn't end there.

When I wiped to dry my skin, I felt it got softer and the smell of Dove soap was on it. Even after the shower, Dove continues to live up to its promise. I am happy to feel an improvement to my skin condition and the effect lasts for hours.

However, since this product is made up of 1/4 moisturizing milk, it melts easily. So make sure you put it in a place that is not humid. The size of 50 grams lasted for a week on me, but overall, it would still depend on the frequency of use.

One thing worth taking note, even if Dove does improve the moisture of the skin, it falls short of its cleansing power. As the official statement from Sample Room says, it is richly blended with its mildest cleansers. But if you are not the type to get really dirty with your work, then Dove soap will do.

In order to gain my points back, I left a short and simple review of Dove White Beauty Bar Soap in the Sample Room website:

The Dove soap range is definitely one of my beloved brands. It lives up to its claim of providing moisture to the skin. There are also scented variants of this soap bar in the market. Hmmm... maybe it's time for me to have another go with Dove.

My Chouhou Gundam

I am so excited to write about the latest addition to my Gundam collection!  This time, I got it from the Gundam Caravan Booth last Best of Anime 2012 ! It was a fun-filled event full of cosplayers and various booths !  This time, we were given the Chouhou Gundam to setup. Uhm, I'm not sure if there is another name for this Gundam. However, the Katakana characters read as "Chouhou", so let me stick with that.  The box of Chouhou Gundam. Hey! This one is new! Other than the manual for setting up, there is also comics inside the box. Wow! It is great as I will get to know more about this Gundam! But time was of the essence, so I decided to move on with building and detailing and set aside reading for later. Comics inside the Chouhou Gundam box. So let us start with the steps in setting up. Here are the photos: We start off with the feet Then the head was next. Putting stickers on is hard, you know. Of course, we need the torso to connect the

Proud to be a Bella

May 21 2011 had been added to my list of memorable days thanks to the girls of Belle de Jour Power Planner. That special day was the BDJ Girls' Rendevous for the month of May. The theme was I Dream, therefore I can.  It was one of the biggest event to date. Almost 100 slots were available to be filled. The invitation to the event was given through various contests. I got my slot in this event through the Belle de Jour Facebook Fan Page. They posted a question at exactly 2:54 PM of May 5, 2011. They posted a question as their status which was: Question, Bellas:   How do you unwind/relax when you're stressed from school or work?   The first 25 BDJ Girls who will comment on THIS THREAD will get a slot at the BDJ Rendezvous: I Dream Therefore I Can! : ) When I saw that post, I immediately wrote "I watch my favorite teleserye." Woah! Believe it or not, I got the lucky 25th slot. Weee! The Rendevous was held in Ace Water Spa in Ortigas. I thought that swimming wi

My Playlist

My taste for music spans a lot of genre! I like Pop, Rock, Alternative, K-pop, J-pop, and RnB. What makes me like the song is the lyrics foremost, and rhythm would be next. I am not really a music junkie. I can't even sing! But I turn to music to make me relax whenever I'm stressed out. It also makes me forget time. As of the moment, my playlist involves a lot of K-Pop songs, thanks to Rain for that matter. There are also Filipino, English and Japanese songs. When I play music, I really pay attention to it. I listen to the rhythm, the tempo, the artist's voice, and the overall emotions of the song. That was how my music critique self was born! It's been a long time since I posted an album review. My playlist for the moment is as shown below. I usually put it on shuffle so this is not ranked according to how I like the music.
