Anime Festival Asia 2012 (Singapore)

Here's to wishing I was personally present during this year's Anime Festival Asia in Singapore. I bet most otakus here in our country would like to be there and experience one of the best anime events ever! Thankfully, my friend Soul of  http://armchairgamedeveloper.blogspot.com/ went there on November 10, 2012. It was held at Singapore Expo Halls 7 & 8. Soul gave me these photos to share. If you have time, go visit his blog for game reviews.

I was very happy and excited when he explained the photos one by one. And I was left imagining the whole place! It was as if I were personally there! Here it is:

First stop is the Kopitiam of Danny Choo. That is the official name of his booth. According to Soul, Kopitiam is a portmanteau of the Malay word Kopi (Coffee) and the Hokkien word Tiam (Shop). So it means coffee shop

Here is the Mirai Itasha! Wow! Now I would like to have a car like that!

Now I am very excited for the Rurouni Kenshin movie that will hit Philippine theaters on December 5, 2012! The movie had an official booth in AFA which showcased the original costumes as worn by the actors.

I told Soul to never forget to take pictures of the cosplayers present! But being on a rush, he was only able to take two photos. But he did manage to take a shot of the popular Gundam cosplayer. I was like "Wow! Is that Clive Lee?"

A cosplayer of Alisa Bosconovitch. Love the details! :)
On stage, there was a cosplay competition, hosted by Danny Choo. Here is Soul's only photo of that event:

Other than these, Soul also took photos of the toys. Actually, he had more photos of the toys compared to booths and cosplayers. ~(-_-)~

Gundams!

...and more Gundams!

Sexy anime girls figures.

Vocaloid nendoroids! Awww....

More cutseyness!

A Miku Nendoroid! I want to take this home!
Wow! Danny Choo! Cosplayers! Toys! Even if I were not personally present in this grand event, I am so grateful that Soul presented it to me in wonderful photos! The event was a sure success!  Now I have a new wish... to be there in next year's AFA!

Presenting The Starbucks 2014 Planner

There are a lot of 2014 planners available out there. For this post, let me share with you the 2014 Starbucks Planner. Every December, people are talking about it! The cover and the layouts are something to look forward to, as well. For this year, it came in four colors: yellow, magenta, brown, and black. The black one is the Philippine edition ( hmmm, tempting! ). I'm very much impressed because the cover feels like leather.  I will feature the magenta one. My friend owns this. I already have a planner for 2014, owning another doesn't make sense at all. Hehehe ~ So, I decided to take some photos of it and share what's inside. (^_^) Left: the box, Right: the planner.  The cover is embossed with coffee icons and Starbucks coffee blend logos. I noticed the symbol for their coffee Sumatra and the elephant icon for Kenya. The 2014 Starbucks Planner in magenta I saw the symbol of the Starbucks coffee blend Sumatra embossed on it. Here is a really cute featur

My Chouhou Gundam

I am so excited to write about the latest addition to my Gundam collection!  This time, I got it from the Gundam Caravan Booth last Best of Anime 2012 ! It was a fun-filled event full of cosplayers and various booths !  This time, we were given the Chouhou Gundam to setup. Uhm, I'm not sure if there is another name for this Gundam. However, the Katakana characters read as "Chouhou", so let me stick with that.  The box of Chouhou Gundam. Hey! This one is new! Other than the manual for setting up, there is also comics inside the box. Wow! It is great as I will get to know more about this Gundam! But time was of the essence, so I decided to move on with building and detailing and set aside reading for later. Comics inside the Chouhou Gundam box. So let us start with the steps in setting up. Here are the photos: We start off with the feet Then the head was next. Putting stickers on is hard, you know. Of course, we need the torso to connect the

Proud to be a Bella

May 21 2011 had been added to my list of memorable days thanks to the girls of Belle de Jour Power Planner. That special day was the BDJ Girls' Rendevous for the month of May. The theme was I Dream, therefore I can.  It was one of the biggest event to date. Almost 100 slots were available to be filled. The invitation to the event was given through various contests. I got my slot in this event through the Belle de Jour Facebook Fan Page. They posted a question at exactly 2:54 PM of May 5, 2011. They posted a question as their status which was: Question, Bellas:   How do you unwind/relax when you're stressed from school or work?   The first 25 BDJ Girls who will comment on THIS THREAD will get a slot at the BDJ Rendezvous: I Dream Therefore I Can! : ) When I saw that post, I immediately wrote "I watch my favorite teleserye." Woah! Believe it or not, I got the lucky 25th slot. Weee! The Rendevous was held in Ace Water Spa in Ortigas. I thought that swimming wi
