The Best of Anime 2012: Cosplayers Galore

The cosplayers of the Best of Anime 2012 filled the room with much excitement! The costumes ranged from the simple school girl uniform to the complicated mecha. By the way, this event was held in SMX Convention Center on Sept. 15-16, 2012. I attended Day Two (Sept. 16) as I had another appointment with Belle de Jour on the 15th. Well, an active lifestyle does good!

Back to the topic... the Best of Anime 2012 had a lot of booths and activities for everybody! Read my previous post here. This blog entry is specially dedicated to the cosplayers. There were a lot who attended. Some I know personally, and others I saw for the first time. The popularity of cosplay really went up this year!

As promised, here are the photos I took that drained the battery of my camera:

Cosplayer Mayden Ong

Cosplayer David Shen D'Angelo as Mr. Pogi

Cosplayer Reeve Castillo as Sebastian from Kuroshitsuji.

Cosplayer Ralph Patrick Villaluz

Cosplayer Zhykrys Sevastra as Bulma from Dragon Ball.

Cosplayer Serreniethy Fionah as Gundam Girl Aegis from Gundam Seed.

Cosplayer Ira Orduna

Cosplayer Rb Cheng as Burning Gundam.

Cosplayer Gaby Ortega as Marguerite of One Piece

Here are a couple of photos I had with some cosplayers:

***Drum Roll*** My favorite cosplayer of the day is...

Cosplayer Ken Lim as Law of Tekken.

...Ken Lim as Marshall Law of Tekken. He proves that you don't have to be in a mecha armor to portray a great cosplay. His facial expression, action pose, and his costume, albeit simple, is very detailed and accurate.

These cosplayers completed my day! Ah! But what is an otaku event without cosplay eh? I'm proud to say that this year's Best of Anime was well attended by anime and cosplay fans. It was a surefire success!

[Review] Gluta-C Intense Whitening Body Scrub

Gluta-C Intense Whitening Body Scrub is a product that impressed me on my first try. Mostly, when I review beauty products, I use it at least a week to see the effects and results on my skin. I never thought that a body scrub can make me go "wow!" instantly! I got this from my Gluta-C Sample Room haul . And I used it the day after I got it. I was that excited!  This product is packaged in a tub. It is a soft, viscous, and grainy cream. The smell is nice, too! It has a cool perfume scent.  120g tub of Gluta-C Body Scrub This is how I used this: I wet my skin and then took an ample amount of the scrub and then applied it using circular motions. Afterwards, I put liquid body wash on a loofah then rubbed on my skin. I could feel the small grains from the scrub gently exfoliating my skin. I love the combination it does with the body wash. The bubbles and the foam make it comfortable! All the while, I know that my skin is thoroughly cleansed!  Here is the surprise!

[Food Review] Everyday Tous Les Jours

My addiction with Tous les Jours started when my cousin brought home a whole load of breads from the said bakery. She recommended that their products are of high quality, while handing me their bestseller aptly called as "Sweet Black Rice Bread with Cream Cheese". Upon taking my first bite, I couldn't stop eating it up until the last piece. With that inspiration, I decided to go visit one of their stores for a closer look.  I went to their branch in SM North. The store is located in The Block near SM Hypermarket. Saturated with yellow lights and wooden furniture, Tous Les Jours had the french bakery/coffee shop aura. Tous Les Jours signage in SM North The front view of the store.  Yummy breads on display!  Breads on display for sale. Oh! There is my favorite! Following my cousin's recommendation, I bought the one with cream cheese filling. However, I had a dilemma which one to choose as it has two variants. The one with black sesame? or plain

Rain and HyunA

After four months, the Rain Effect still leaves a mark in me. It is a great album and if I have all the time in the world, I would feature each track in a full write up. For this sixth volume, Rain had a song which featured the K-Pop artist HyunA. It is entitled "Where are you going, Oppa?" and it has a nice Arabian-like beat infused with bass and hip hop, it hints of sexiness too.  For today, I will write about this song that was successful in bringing out a reaction in me. Let’s listen… Fan video by Miyu MaGirlYura So now you understand why it brought a reaction in me? Hehehe ~ It means that the artist is successful in bringing out the emotion through a song. One thing is for sure, Rain chose the perfect girl to sing with him. Both are top caliber artists in their own field. And because of him, I now like HyunA and I researched about her. Kum Hyuna (HyunA) I already know the entertainer named HyunA. I can't remember how, though. I just know her as the n
