Oh No! Manga Cosplay Camp

It was a rainy Sunday (July 29, 2012) but the Oh No! Manga Cosplay Camp pushed through nonetheless. People crowded to SM North Skydome to learn all about cosplay and get a glimpse of the cosplayers at the event.

The ticket.

The Oh No! Manga Stage.
The crowd was awesome! Take a look at how the place was filled!

I was very excited to see the 18-feet Gundam Unicorn! It was the first thing that I noticed upon entering Skydome! Nobody could miss it! I had a hard time getting the perfect full body shot of this beauty!

Of course! I didn't miss taking pics of the cosplayers! However, I only have a few because the place, being so small, didn't give me the luxury of being comfortable to take photos. Here they are...

Jeremia Escueta as Tifa Lockheart

Reeve Castillo as Zero from Vampire Knight

My favorite cosplayer of the day is Zhykrys Sevastra as Bulma from Dragon Ball. Her costume is very accurate from the details to the colors! She is very photogenic and carries the character excellently!

Zhykrys as Bulma.
I am so happy to get my first ever cosplay-related certificate in this event. The organizers gave certificates to all cosplayers who registered for the catwalk. It was the first time that an event recognized and appreciated the cosplayers. Yay!

Well, the event was close to perfect, if it weren't for the venue. Skydome was so small it couldn't accomodate the crowd. I think the space inside was only enough for the booths, not much place to roam around. Worse, staying outside was not impossible because of the rain. I admit the SM North Sky Garden would've been great for a photoshoot. Unfortunately, fun was halted by the rain.

I hope for a better venue for the next Oh No! Manga event. :)

Presenting The Starbucks 2014 Planner

There are a lot of 2014 planners available out there. For this post, let me share with you the 2014 Starbucks Planner. Every December, people are talking about it! The cover and the layouts are something to look forward to, as well. For this year, it came in four colors: yellow, magenta, brown, and black. The black one is the Philippine edition ( hmmm, tempting! ). I'm very much impressed because the cover feels like leather.  I will feature the magenta one. My friend owns this. I already have a planner for 2014, owning another doesn't make sense at all. Hehehe ~ So, I decided to take some photos of it and share what's inside. (^_^) Left: the box, Right: the planner.  The cover is embossed with coffee icons and Starbucks coffee blend logos. I noticed the symbol for their coffee Sumatra and the elephant icon for Kenya. The 2014 Starbucks Planner in magenta I saw the symbol of the Starbucks coffee blend Sumatra embossed on it. Here is a really cute featur

My Chouhou Gundam

I am so excited to write about the latest addition to my Gundam collection!  This time, I got it from the Gundam Caravan Booth last Best of Anime 2012 ! It was a fun-filled event full of cosplayers and various booths !  This time, we were given the Chouhou Gundam to setup. Uhm, I'm not sure if there is another name for this Gundam. However, the Katakana characters read as "Chouhou", so let me stick with that.  The box of Chouhou Gundam. Hey! This one is new! Other than the manual for setting up, there is also comics inside the box. Wow! It is great as I will get to know more about this Gundam! But time was of the essence, so I decided to move on with building and detailing and set aside reading for later. Comics inside the Chouhou Gundam box. So let us start with the steps in setting up. Here are the photos: We start off with the feet Then the head was next. Putting stickers on is hard, you know. Of course, we need the torso to connect the

Proud to be a Bella

May 21 2011 had been added to my list of memorable days thanks to the girls of Belle de Jour Power Planner. That special day was the BDJ Girls' Rendevous for the month of May. The theme was I Dream, therefore I can.  It was one of the biggest event to date. Almost 100 slots were available to be filled. The invitation to the event was given through various contests. I got my slot in this event through the Belle de Jour Facebook Fan Page. They posted a question at exactly 2:54 PM of May 5, 2011. They posted a question as their status which was: Question, Bellas:   How do you unwind/relax when you're stressed from school or work?   The first 25 BDJ Girls who will comment on THIS THREAD will get a slot at the BDJ Rendezvous: I Dream Therefore I Can! : ) When I saw that post, I immediately wrote "I watch my favorite teleserye." Woah! Believe it or not, I got the lucky 25th slot. Weee! The Rendevous was held in Ace Water Spa in Ortigas. I thought that swimming wi
