Welcome to Your District!: The Hunger Games Blu-Ray, DVD, & VCD Launch

Happy Hunger Games! Recently, I have become a Hunger Games fan. It all started with the movie. It so good! The plot. The special effects. The actors and actress. Everything! You can read my The Hunger Games Movie Review by clicking here .  My fascination with Katniss, Peeta, and the country of Panem grew when I read the books. Honestly, you will read in  my movie review that I wasn't impressed at first. But after watching the movie and having known the plot, I have decided to give the books a chance. It was a blessing in disguise as we had no internet connection at home due our epic fail ISP . It gave me time to read. The Hunger Games book presented a good story with a plot that entails socio-political aspects. At last! A popular book with substance! Watch out for my book review of the trilogy soon!  So back to the topic... The Hunger Games home video is now available on DVD and Blu-Ray. The launching was held on August 25, 2012 at SM Megamall Event Center. Lots of Hunger Game

Globe WiMax Product Review

This post is so out of place here. This blog is about the things that I love to do. I really want to keep it at a positive aura. But not today. All thanks to our epic fail ISP: Globe WiMax . Now, I guess I would be in a hiatus here in my blog. Internet connection is so bad. Very bad! As of this moment, I’m writing this in an internet café because we don’t have internet connection at home for more three weeks and counting! Gosh! I am about to burst out my wits to madness! How will I keep this blog up and running? So let me tell you the story of how we got Globe WiMax. My family and I really regret the decision we made seven months ago. A Globe salesman offered us the product at a certain discount and free installation. Of course, since it was cheaper than our previous ISP, we accepted the offer. And then all hell started! The installation was free, but we had to wait for five weeks for the technician to come to our house and wire it. During those five weeks we had to constan

Koska Chocolates from Turkey

Chocolate from different countries have unique flavors. I think it's due to the fact that manufacturers make them with regards to the locals' preference. Being a chocolate lover, I always try to sink my teeth into the Aztecs' masterpiece in all possible flavors. First stop: Turkey. A colleague who visited Istanbul gave me chocolates from the country. It comes in bite size pieces and she gave me three. I love the design as it promotes Turkey's tourist spots. It's a nice way to get to know the country better.  Koska Chocolates with photos of sights from Turkey. The chocolate came in two variants: bitter and milk chocolate. I always save the best for last, so I ate the dark chocolate first then the milk chocolate last. Well, I haven't tasted both before, so I assume I would like the latter better.  As much as it is called 'Bitter Chocolate', it was surprisingly lightly sweet for me. Sure I could taste the specific flavor of bitter chocolate, but t

Oh No! Manga Cosplay Camp

It was a rainy Sunday (July 29, 2012) but the Oh No! Manga Cosplay Camp pushed through nonetheless. People crowded to SM North Skydome to learn all about cosplay and get a glimpse of the cosplayers at the event.  The ticket.  The Oh No! Manga Stage. The crowd was awesome! Take a look at how the place was filled!  Thecrowd! I was very excited to see the 18-feet Gundam Unicorn! It was the first thing that I noticed upon entering Skydome! Nobody could miss it! I had a hard time getting the perfect full body shot of this beauty! Of course! I didn't miss taking pics of the cosplayers! However, I only have a few because the place, being so small, didn't give me the luxury of being comfortable to take photos. Here they are... Jeremia Escueta as Tifa Lockheart Reeve Castillo as Zero from Vampire Knight My favorite cosplaye
