Booths and Toys at the 11th Philippine Toy Con

I made a promise to you guys that I would write about the toys at Toy Con 2012. So here it is! Yay! After my post last night about the cosplayers I saw at the event, I got excited and I am now dedicating this blog entry to the booths and toys. To read more about the cosplayers, click here

As I mentioned, I went to Day 3 of this exciting event. The photos that I will share are what I saw on display on June 17, 2012.

The first booth that greeted me was the cute Clipper booth. The bubbly crew invited me for a photo op. :) Oooh! Those Rilakkuma stuff toys is really huggable!

There was a huge spot dedicated  solely for merchandisers that sell otaku items, makeup, cosplay items, and much more.
The Chikara Hats booth

A bird's eye view of the merchants.

Freshgear also had items on sale up to 70% off.
The Komik Kon booth was so much fun! I joined the piso raffle and I won a poster and fan.

Now this is what I love! Booths about upcoming movies! I remember they had Harry Potter 7 on display last year. This time, there were G.I. Joe: Retaliation and The Dark Knight Rises.

G.I. Joe booth and figures on display.
I loved this! The Dark Knight Rises booth! They had the authentic Batsuit from The Dark Knight Rises. Read more about this by clicking here. You'll be surprised!

Next stop is the Maxicollector booth. They had toys of high quality, which were also for sale.

Life size busts of Bruce Lee and other characters.

Chisel Town also got my attention because of the well-made sculptures. They had true-to-life figures of characters and celebrities.

Another outstanding exhibitor is Philippine Outpost. They help other people while carrying the concept of Star Wars.

Helms on display.
Works of comic artist Alfredo P. Alcala were on exhibit. Wow! And double wow! It's also Batman-themed! Love it! :)

This is my favorite. Love the cape-in-the-wind effect (or whatever it is called)
Just beside Alfredo P. Alcala's exhibit is a huge Voltes V. This made me nostalgic as this was one of the first anime that I watched.

Now here comes the best part -The Toy Con Gallery! The place was separated from the booths, stage, and other happenings. It was in an isolated room saturated with yellow light, which gave the place a vintage feel.

These are life-sized figures!

Phew! So many toys so little camera battery! Ah well! This year's Toy Con was a success! It offered cosplay,  toy collections, exhibits. and more. No wonder it has become one of the events anticipated by hobbyists every year!

Toy Con 2012 was held at SM Megamall Megatrade Halls 1, 2, and 3 at June 15, 16, 17, 2012.

Presenting The Starbucks 2014 Planner

There are a lot of 2014 planners available out there. For this post, let me share with you the 2014 Starbucks Planner. Every December, people are talking about it! The cover and the layouts are something to look forward to, as well. For this year, it came in four colors: yellow, magenta, brown, and black. The black one is the Philippine edition ( hmmm, tempting! ). I'm very much impressed because the cover feels like leather.  I will feature the magenta one. My friend owns this. I already have a planner for 2014, owning another doesn't make sense at all. Hehehe ~ So, I decided to take some photos of it and share what's inside. (^_^) Left: the box, Right: the planner.  The cover is embossed with coffee icons and Starbucks coffee blend logos. I noticed the symbol for their coffee Sumatra and the elephant icon for Kenya. The 2014 Starbucks Planner in magenta I saw the symbol of the Starbucks coffee blend Sumatra embossed on it. Here is a really cute featur

My Chouhou Gundam

I am so excited to write about the latest addition to my Gundam collection!  This time, I got it from the Gundam Caravan Booth last Best of Anime 2012 ! It was a fun-filled event full of cosplayers and various booths !  This time, we were given the Chouhou Gundam to setup. Uhm, I'm not sure if there is another name for this Gundam. However, the Katakana characters read as "Chouhou", so let me stick with that.  The box of Chouhou Gundam. Hey! This one is new! Other than the manual for setting up, there is also comics inside the box. Wow! It is great as I will get to know more about this Gundam! But time was of the essence, so I decided to move on with building and detailing and set aside reading for later. Comics inside the Chouhou Gundam box. So let us start with the steps in setting up. Here are the photos: We start off with the feet Then the head was next. Putting stickers on is hard, you know. Of course, we need the torso to connect the

Proud to be a Bella

May 21 2011 had been added to my list of memorable days thanks to the girls of Belle de Jour Power Planner. That special day was the BDJ Girls' Rendevous for the month of May. The theme was I Dream, therefore I can.  It was one of the biggest event to date. Almost 100 slots were available to be filled. The invitation to the event was given through various contests. I got my slot in this event through the Belle de Jour Facebook Fan Page. They posted a question at exactly 2:54 PM of May 5, 2011. They posted a question as their status which was: Question, Bellas:   How do you unwind/relax when you're stressed from school or work?   The first 25 BDJ Girls who will comment on THIS THREAD will get a slot at the BDJ Rendezvous: I Dream Therefore I Can! : ) When I saw that post, I immediately wrote "I watch my favorite teleserye." Woah! Believe it or not, I got the lucky 25th slot. Weee! The Rendevous was held in Ace Water Spa in Ortigas. I thought that swimming wi
