Rock Salt and Cheese

What? Rock salt and cheese? In a drink?

That was my initial expression when my cousin told me to try out Happy Lemon's specialty. The name itself got me quite intrigued as to how the flavors would complement each other. I doubted whether I should really try it. I am a sweet tooth and the name Rock Salt and Cheese sends 'sour flavor' signals to my brain.

However, my food lover instincts couldn't just say no. So I headed off to the Happy Lemon branch in TriNoma to satisfy my curiosity. The store is located on the 4th floor near the cinemas.

There are three variants of Rock Salt and Cheese to choose from: Green Tea, Coffee, and Cocoa. Of course, I ordered Cocoa with Rock Salt and Cheese. It costs PhP90.  I had to wait a few minutes to get my drink, considering the queue was long. And I have observed how the Happy Lemon crew creatively pour the melted cheese on top of liquid chocolate. Then, they added chocolate powder to garnish it. Yum!
One creative drink.
I excitedly went to a nearby table and tasted this unique drink. The first sip exceeded my expectations! The rock salt and cheese topping was not sour as I thought it would be. It had a gentle saltiness that reminded me of cheesecake. However, I was a bit disappointed with the cocoa as it tasted bland and ordinary. But its one-of-kind combination with the rock salt and cheese gave out a good and satisfying result.

It was surprising how the flavor complemented each other. I can describe the drink in one sentence: It is comparable to eating a liquid chocolate cheesecake. And I love cheesecakes! Therefore I love Cocoa with Rock Salt and Cheese!

Presenting The Starbucks 2014 Planner

There are a lot of 2014 planners available out there. For this post, let me share with you the 2014 Starbucks Planner. Every December, people are talking about it! The cover and the layouts are something to look forward to, as well. For this year, it came in four colors: yellow, magenta, brown, and black. The black one is the Philippine edition ( hmmm, tempting! ). I'm very much impressed because the cover feels like leather.  I will feature the magenta one. My friend owns this. I already have a planner for 2014, owning another doesn't make sense at all. Hehehe ~ So, I decided to take some photos of it and share what's inside. (^_^) Left: the box, Right: the planner.  The cover is embossed with coffee icons and Starbucks coffee blend logos. I noticed the symbol for their coffee Sumatra and the elephant icon for Kenya. The 2014 Starbucks Planner in magenta I saw the symbol of the Starbucks coffee blend Sumatra embossed on it. Here is a really cute featur

My Chouhou Gundam

I am so excited to write about the latest addition to my Gundam collection!  This time, I got it from the Gundam Caravan Booth last Best of Anime 2012 ! It was a fun-filled event full of cosplayers and various booths !  This time, we were given the Chouhou Gundam to setup. Uhm, I'm not sure if there is another name for this Gundam. However, the Katakana characters read as "Chouhou", so let me stick with that.  The box of Chouhou Gundam. Hey! This one is new! Other than the manual for setting up, there is also comics inside the box. Wow! It is great as I will get to know more about this Gundam! But time was of the essence, so I decided to move on with building and detailing and set aside reading for later. Comics inside the Chouhou Gundam box. So let us start with the steps in setting up. Here are the photos: We start off with the feet Then the head was next. Putting stickers on is hard, you know. Of course, we need the torso to connect the

May 21 2011 had been added to my list of memorable days thanks to the girls of Belle de Jour Power Planner. That special day was the BDJ Girls' Rendevous for the month of May. The theme was I Dream, therefore I can.  It was one of the biggest event to date. Almost 100 slots were available to be filled. The invitation to the event was given through various contests.
