Red Velvet Vixen at Cupcakes by Sonja

I looove sweets! Chocolate, ice cream, cakes -you name it! I was raised to be a sweet tooth! This quality of mine has gotten me to explore various food outlets. And when I say explore, I mean going there for the sake of... just eating.

For this entry, I will share to you my passion for cupcakes. Cupcakes by Sonja has the best of this soft and tasty treat. Unfortunately for me, it is located in Serendra Piazza in Fort Bonifacio. It is way too far from where I'm at. Ah well, good food is worth the long wait and travel. (^_^)

It was just yesterday when I visited the store. Being a Saturday, the place was literally crowded by fellow cupcake patrons. But the array of yummy and colorful cupcakes on display will let you forget about the discomforts of the crowd. The store was based on the traditional cupcake store look: blue and pink striped wallpaper, chalkboard menu, and a cute cupboard display.

The names of the cupcakes were as creative as their looks. There were Vanilla Sunshine, Lemon Drop, Chocolate Surprise, and a lot more. Their selection was so good that it was hard for me to choose. I was on queue for an order and most of the customers that came before me ordered this one cupcake that stood above all: the Red Velvet Vixen.

That made my choice then. The cupcake, true to its name, was red. It was topped with a tasty cream cheese frosting and sprinkled with a dash of cocoa. I wondered what it tasted like. Being in red, I couldn't make it out. The cream cheese frosting had the feeling of mini sugar granules on every my every bite. Yum!

The Red Velvet Vixen: Creativity on every bite!
On the menu was written: Red Velvet Vixen: Traditional Southern Red Velvet cupcake made with Belgian cocoa and topped with luscious cream cheese icing.

Ah so it was chocolate flavored after all! The Red Velvet Vixen completed my saccharine cravings for the day. On top of that, a portion of the price is donated to Red Cross. The cupcake is priced at PhP 75 (as of writing). What a great feeling! The sweet cupcake made me happy body and soul.

Cupcakes by Sonja has exceeded my expectations.  I will surely come back for more.

My Chouhou Gundam

I am so excited to write about the latest addition to my Gundam collection!  This time, I got it from the Gundam Caravan Booth last Best of Anime 2012 ! It was a fun-filled event full of cosplayers and various booths !  This time, we were given the Chouhou Gundam to setup. Uhm, I'm not sure if there is another name for this Gundam. However, the Katakana characters read as "Chouhou", so let me stick with that.  The box of Chouhou Gundam. Hey! This one is new! Other than the manual for setting up, there is also comics inside the box. Wow! It is great as I will get to know more about this Gundam! But time was of the essence, so I decided to move on with building and detailing and set aside reading for later. Comics inside the Chouhou Gundam box. So let us start with the steps in setting up. Here are the photos: We start off with the feet Then the head was next. Putting stickers on is hard, you know. Of course, we need the torso to connect the

Proud to be a Bella

May 21 2011 had been added to my list of memorable days thanks to the girls of Belle de Jour Power Planner. That special day was the BDJ Girls' Rendevous for the month of May. The theme was I Dream, therefore I can.  It was one of the biggest event to date. Almost 100 slots were available to be filled. The invitation to the event was given through various contests. I got my slot in this event through the Belle de Jour Facebook Fan Page. They posted a question at exactly 2:54 PM of May 5, 2011. They posted a question as their status which was: Question, Bellas:   How do you unwind/relax when you're stressed from school or work?   The first 25 BDJ Girls who will comment on THIS THREAD will get a slot at the BDJ Rendezvous: I Dream Therefore I Can! : ) When I saw that post, I immediately wrote "I watch my favorite teleserye." Woah! Believe it or not, I got the lucky 25th slot. Weee! The Rendevous was held in Ace Water Spa in Ortigas. I thought that swimming wi

My Playlist

My taste for music spans a lot of genre! I like Pop, Rock, Alternative, K-pop, J-pop, and RnB. What makes me like the song is the lyrics foremost, and rhythm would be next. I am not really a music junkie. I can't even sing! But I turn to music to make me relax whenever I'm stressed out. It also makes me forget time. As of the moment, my playlist involves a lot of K-Pop songs, thanks to Rain for that matter. There are also Filipino, English and Japanese songs. When I play music, I really pay attention to it. I listen to the rhythm, the tempo, the artist's voice, and the overall emotions of the song. That was how my music critique self was born! It's been a long time since I posted an album review. My playlist for the moment is as shown below. I usually put it on shuffle so this is not ranked according to how I like the music. Credits of the YouTube videos that I embedded goes to their respective owners.  1. My Way by Rain - This is the only song which made me cry
