Japanese Culture Festival at UP AME Monogatari

November 12, 2011 -the UP AME Monogatari was held in World Trade Center, Pasay City. What was most impressive about it is that it implied the 'spirit festival' theme (I'm not sure what it is formally called ^_^). It was focused not only on cosplay and anime, but also on Japanese culture. It took me to what seemed like an immersion in Japan.
The ticket! Love the graphics! :)

There are epic stories like this at the entrance hall. Cool!
There were Japanese Kimono on display. Other than that, they had booths depicting a Shinto Shrine where one could make a wish. And wow! There was also a zen garden!

If I were to choose the best booth, it would be the Spirit Cafe. It reminded me of the anime Spirited Away. Some con-goers visited it.

And now for the most awaited part! Here are the photos of the cosplayers from the event. The East Pavillion of WTC was so packed that it was hard to get a decent shot.

But no worries! The area outside was perfect for a photoshoot. The cloudy day provided just enough lighting for a great shot.

*Drum Roll* My favorite cosplayer of the day is.....(*Drum Roll*) this guy cosplaying Sasuke from Naruto ShippudenThe costume is very accurate and detailed. On top of that, he also embodied Sasuke's mysterious character well.He got the formula for the perfect Sasuke cosplay!

UP AME had a successful event! I learned a lot on Japanese culture. The venue was perfect for it too. Congratulations guys! I can say that this is one of the best anime conventions I have attended this year!

[Review] Gluta-C Intense Whitening Body Scrub

Gluta-C Intense Whitening Body Scrub is a product that impressed me on my first try. Mostly, when I review beauty products, I use it at least a week to see the effects and results on my skin. I never thought that a body scrub can make me go "wow!" instantly! I got this from my Gluta-C Sample Room haul . And I used it the day after I got it. I was that excited!  This product is packaged in a tub. It is a soft, viscous, and grainy cream. The smell is nice, too! It has a cool perfume scent.  120g tub of Gluta-C Body Scrub This is how I used this: I wet my skin and then took an ample amount of the scrub and then applied it using circular motions. Afterwards, I put liquid body wash on a loofah then rubbed on my skin. I could feel the small grains from the scrub gently exfoliating my skin. I love the combination it does with the body wash. The bubbles and the foam make it comfortable! All the while, I know that my skin is thoroughly cleansed!  Here is the surprise!

[Food Review] Everyday Tous Les Jours

My addiction with Tous les Jours started when my cousin brought home a whole load of breads from the said bakery. She recommended that their products are of high quality, while handing me their bestseller aptly called as "Sweet Black Rice Bread with Cream Cheese". Upon taking my first bite, I couldn't stop eating it up until the last piece. With that inspiration, I decided to go visit one of their stores for a closer look.  I went to their branch in SM North. The store is located in The Block near SM Hypermarket. Saturated with yellow lights and wooden furniture, Tous Les Jours had the french bakery/coffee shop aura. Tous Les Jours signage in SM North The front view of the store.  Yummy breads on display!  Breads on display for sale. Oh! There is my favorite! Following my cousin's recommendation, I bought the one with cream cheese filling. However, I had a dilemma which one to choose as it has two variants. The one with black sesame? or plain

Rain and HyunA

After four months, the Rain Effect still leaves a mark in me. It is a great album and if I have all the time in the world, I would feature each track in a full write up. For this sixth volume, Rain had a song which featured the K-Pop artist HyunA. It is entitled "Where are you going, Oppa?" and it has a nice Arabian-like beat infused with bass and hip hop, it hints of sexiness too.  For today, I will write about this song that was successful in bringing out a reaction in me. Let’s listen… Fan video by Miyu MaGirlYura So now you understand why it brought a reaction in me? Hehehe ~ It means that the artist is successful in bringing out the emotion through a song. One thing is for sure, Rain chose the perfect girl to sing with him. Both are top caliber artists in their own field. And because of him, I now like HyunA and I researched about her. Kum Hyuna (HyunA) I already know the entertainer named HyunA. I can't remember how, though. I just know her as the n
