Cosplay Mania 2011

I only attended the first day of Cosplay Mania 2011 which was held in SMX Convention Center. Even though the weather was bad, I still decided to go for it. Hey! It was a big cosplay event and I didn't want to miss it!
The ticket
The whole place was packed when I got there. The event occupied three halls of the convention center. The first hall was used for ticketing, the second was the function hall where booths and merchandisers were (this is the most congested part of the place T_T), and finally, the third hall was used as the main stage for the cosplay event.

Of course, I again looked for the Gundam Mobile Kits Caravan to have my share of Gundam thrills. I am most happy when I'm setting up these cute mechas. They're like my trophies. This time, we were given Gundam Astray 1/144 scale.
It took me two hours to finish it. After that, I strolled the whole place and took photos of the cosplayers. Here they are:

On a side note, I can't help but share my most loved spot in the event. Tadah! It is this Hello Kitty booth. I love it! I love Hello Kitty!

Back to cosplay... My favorite cosplayer of the day is Jillian Ongsip as a Pokemon trainer. She carried it well with that Pikachu. Pikkkaaaachuuuuuu! :D
Jillian then gave me a cute business card after I took a photo of her. Because of it, I knew her name. :) She looks cute in the card too. :)

International Cosplayers also graced the event. They were the judges for the Project Cosplay Contest:

Jan Pesino Illenberger

Pinky Lu Xun from Indonesia
And yes! My most unforgettable performance of the day! Billy Gaga on stage performing the hits Beat It and Black and White by Michael Jackson. Hey! The lead singer was cosplaying MJ! His voice was even similar to his. As they all said, it was as if MJ came back to life!

I wasn't able to attend the second day of Cosplay Mania 2011. It would have been fun to watch the final leg of Cosplay Tournament of Champions. But on the positive side, I did watch the Manila leg last time. There were lots of cosplayers too. To read about it, just click here.

Cosplay truly makes people happy. Jillian and other cosplayers are passionate about their craft. SMX Convention Center was filled with grandiose costumes and mechas, each with different themes. Thanks to the organizers of this event, especially to cosplay.ph for bringing this fun-filled experience to cosplayers and con-goers.

Presenting The Starbucks 2014 Planner

There are a lot of 2014 planners available out there. For this post, let me share with you the 2014 Starbucks Planner. Every December, people are talking about it! The cover and the layouts are something to look forward to, as well. For this year, it came in four colors: yellow, magenta, brown, and black. The black one is the Philippine edition ( hmmm, tempting! ). I'm very much impressed because the cover feels like leather.  I will feature the magenta one. My friend owns this. I already have a planner for 2014, owning another doesn't make sense at all. Hehehe ~ So, I decided to take some photos of it and share what's inside. (^_^) Left: the box, Right: the planner.  The cover is embossed with coffee icons and Starbucks coffee blend logos. I noticed the symbol for their coffee Sumatra and the elephant icon for Kenya. The 2014 Starbucks Planner in magenta I saw the symbol of the Starbucks coffee blend Sumatra embossed on it. Here is a really cute featur

My Chouhou Gundam

I am so excited to write about the latest addition to my Gundam collection!  This time, I got it from the Gundam Caravan Booth last Best of Anime 2012 ! It was a fun-filled event full of cosplayers and various booths !  This time, we were given the Chouhou Gundam to setup. Uhm, I'm not sure if there is another name for this Gundam. However, the Katakana characters read as "Chouhou", so let me stick with that.  The box of Chouhou Gundam. Hey! This one is new! Other than the manual for setting up, there is also comics inside the box. Wow! It is great as I will get to know more about this Gundam! But time was of the essence, so I decided to move on with building and detailing and set aside reading for later. Comics inside the Chouhou Gundam box. So let us start with the steps in setting up. Here are the photos: We start off with the feet Then the head was next. Putting stickers on is hard, you know. Of course, we need the torso to connect the

Proud to be a Bella

May 21 2011 had been added to my list of memorable days thanks to the girls of Belle de Jour Power Planner. That special day was the BDJ Girls' Rendevous for the month of May. The theme was I Dream, therefore I can.  It was one of the biggest event to date. Almost 100 slots were available to be filled. The invitation to the event was given through various contests. I got my slot in this event through the Belle de Jour Facebook Fan Page. They posted a question at exactly 2:54 PM of May 5, 2011. They posted a question as their status which was: Question, Bellas:   How do you unwind/relax when you're stressed from school or work?   The first 25 BDJ Girls who will comment on THIS THREAD will get a slot at the BDJ Rendezvous: I Dream Therefore I Can! : ) When I saw that post, I immediately wrote "I watch my favorite teleserye." Woah! Believe it or not, I got the lucky 25th slot. Weee! The Rendevous was held in Ace Water Spa in Ortigas. I thought that swimming wi
