Pinoy Gaming Festival Day One

Best Blogger Tips
Day one of Pinoy Gaming Festival was laid back, it being held on a Friday. But nevertheless, there were still a lot of gamers and gaming enthusiasts who attended the event. Excitement filled the air as special guest Alodia Gosiengfiao co-hosted the show.

Unfortunately, I was not able to take photos of the booths. They were fully surrounded by attendees, especially the Starcraft 2 and DoTA 2 computers. :(

Only a few cosplayers attended the event. Here are my photos of them:

Me and a cosplayer :)

Alodia Gosiengfiao also called some cosplayers on stage. They were given free Mineski ballers as prices.

The Starcraft 2 tournament then started. It lifted the spirits of the attendees as the thrill of the game started. Alodia co-hosted it as well.

My Etude House Haul

Best Blogger Tips
I visited the Etude House branch in SM Bicutan recently. And wow! It was a nice experience! The boutique was decorated in pink and white. The intricate designs of the racks and walls reminded me of Victorian elegance. The moment I entered, the beautiful salesgirl greeted me with a smile. "Good morning, Princess!", she said. That absolutely made my day!

"I want to see your BB creams please." I said in reply. She happily lead me to the spot and explained to me their BB cream line. I told her that I am particularly looking for the BB cream that can be used as a foundation. After a nod, she gave me the Precious Mineral BB Cream, which turns out to be their bestseller.
The Precious Mineral BB Cream
The salesgirl then asked me why was I familiar with their BB Cream. With a smile, I told her that I went to the Etude House booth last Belle de Jour Fair and tried their K-Pop makeover. My makeup artist Marichu used BB cream as foundation. Well, I liked the results obviously. That's why I am buying one for myself. :)

I also bought an eyeliner. They ran out of black so the salesgirl recommended white instead. I tried it with their tester and it looked good on me. I completed my purchase with the Happy Tea Time Facial Wash.

My purchases qualified me to be part of Etude House membership program. They gave me a cute pink membership card. I also got a free shinko mirror as a freebie. Yay!

My Etude House Haul. :)
My short time in Etude House made me feel special. And to top it off, before I stepped out of the door, all the sales staff said to me, "Thank you, Princess!".

Missha in Manila

Best Blogger Tips
Missha has a branch in Manila located in the ground floor of SM North Annex. I visited it yesterday after work. It was a nice experience. The first thing that I did was to look at the promotional poster outside. The sales manager saw me, she then went out and invited me to come in. Wow! Because of her, the store has captured my first impression! :)

Missha boutique in SM North Annex.
The sales manager took me to a tour in the store. She was very knowledgeable about their products. My favorite was the liquid eyeliner pen that is perfect for girls who have a hard time controlling the brush type. Hmmm... It's on my wishlist now! :))

After a few minutes of touring, I finally decided to buy 2 packs of facial masks for my sister @torakiss. :)

My Missha haul. :)
And of course! I took this for @torakiss

I was hoping for standees, but this is all they have.

The Jejung/Yoochun CD is not part of the Missha haul. :)
With nice service and a unique line of cosmetics, I will surely be back! ***wait for me liquid eyeliner pen!*** (you now know what I want for Christmas!)

Take Flight: The Belle de Jour Fair

Best Blogger Tips
October 16, 2011 was one of my most anticipated events this year! In fact, every Belle de Jour event is always something to look forward to. I like the positive aura that the BDJ girls exude. Also, this year's fair was my first time to attend. So, that made me doubly excited. :)

This event was the launch of the 2012 Belle de Jour Power Planner. There were lots of promotions and booths. Activities and games were awesome! The most important portion was the educational and empowering talks by well-known speakers.

The 2012 BDJ Power Planner on display with yummy cupcakes!
The Browhaus booth was the first one that I went to. I won a free GC!

The Athena booth gave out free samples.

I enjoyed the Pachinko game from Ace Water Spa where I won a baller.
My most favorite booth was the Etude House booth. They had a Spin-a-Wheel game where I won a body wash sample. :)) Other than that, they had a free make-over session. I patiently waited in line for it!

The new Etude House Princes, Betsy! :)
EH team getting busy.

With my make-up artist, Marichu. :)
Belle de Jour set up a freedom wall themed as a "Commitment Wall". Lots of girls wrote on it. Me, on the other hand, committed to have more confidence for the coming year!

Yup! :)
Since I joined the Five Reasons Promo, I won my copy of 2012 BDJ Planner for free! :) I claimed it during the fair.

When 4:00 PM came, I went to the center tent for the third segment. I pre-registered online to join this talk. It was entitled "Kilometer Zero", given by Carelle Mangaliag. She was a fun speaker. She kept us positively active all throughout her talk. All of us were laughing our hearts out while at the same time learning a lot about the basics of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

Right after Ms. Mangaliag's talk, the chosen BDJ girls/models took the ramp in Promod and Parfois.  And guess who was with them! None other than Ms. Divine Lee!

Ms. Divine Lee gave a short talk about traveling tips. Entitled as "Get Lost in Style", she emphasized in wearing the appropriate, functional, and most of all fashionable clothes in popular places all over the world.

She gave out examples of clothes to wear in different places, shown here is Russia
Ms. Divine Lee was the last speaker of the day. After her talk, Jasmine and Issa raffled off some prizes! Yay! I was the first to be called and I won a GC from Shuji Kida salon! :)

When I got home, I was surprised at the freebies that I have. My PhP50 entrance fee was truly worth it! :)

What's inside the Goody bag?
This day was just amazing! Just like I said earlier, I love Belle de Jour! I would like to congratulate Darlyn and the Belle de Jour team for this successful event!

My Belle de Jour 2012 Planner

Best Blogger Tips
Yay! Last Belle de Jour Fair, I claimed my new Belle de Jour Power Planner 2012. The organizers held a contest to promote the said event via Facebook, Twitter, or blog. Of course, I chose to join the blog category, take a look at my entry here. Five BDJ 2012 planners were raffled off per group. Weeee~ I was very happy when I received an e-mail from the Belle de Jour team that I was one of the lucky five! :)

The 2012 Belle de Jour Planner had the theme of traveling. :) I chose the hardbound planner because it is more compact as compared to the spiraled version. The year 2012 will be full of events for me, and this is a great tool to keep up. I love Belle de Jour!

Thanks to Darlyn and the rest of the Belle de Jour team. Hope to see you in future events. :)

Gundam Astray 1/144 Scale

Best Blogger Tips
As mentioned in my previous post, Cosplay Mania 2011 (which was held on October 1) gave me another opportunity to join the Gundam Model Kits Caravan! Other than cosplay, merchandisers, fancy booths, and fantastic stage performances, I now look forward to an hour or two of Gundam moments. I just love setting up mechas!
This time around, we were given a kit to assemble Gundam Astray. As you all may have known, the first Gundam that I set up was also of the same name. But that was Gundam Astray 1/60 scale. It was a cute chibi Gundam. :) Having another version of Astray would look nice in my growing collection. I was very happy to accept the kit for 1/144 Astray.
I have noticed that the parts are simpler and easier to assemble than the 1/60 Gundam Astray. That’s a good point, right? :) This time, I made some techniques on detailing. I have decided to assemble the part and put ink on it right away. It was the opposite of what I did to Gundam Kyrios, where I assembled the mecha first before drawing the details on it. I was glad that the staff gave me a better marker this time, though the tip was broken. Thus, it gave out overly large marks.

Here is the process for Gundam Astray:
Part 1: Left Leg

Part 2: Right Leg

Part 3:  Left arm

 Part 4: Right arm

Part 5: Torso

 Part 6:  Legs + Torso

 Part 7: Legs+torso+head

Part 8: Putting all parts together!
Yay! My new baby is complete! It is the third Gundam of my collection, entry number 47. Unfortunately, I still didn’t win this time. However, I am proud to say that I have better control with detailing now. Indeed, practice brings improvement.

When 6 PM came, I got too busy during the event. It was a fun-filled day after all. Sadly, I came back to the Bandai Gunpla booth too late and I wasn’t able to take photos of the winning Gundams. :( Sorry guys. But don’t worry! I have learned my lesson and will post more about Gundams next time! Oh! If only I can track the caravan’s itinerary! :)

Cosplay Mania 2011

Best Blogger Tips
I only attended the first day of Cosplay Mania 2011 which was held in SMX Convention Center. Even though the weather was bad, I still decided to go for it. Hey! It was a big cosplay event and I didn't want to miss it!
The ticket
The whole place was packed when I got there. The event occupied three halls of the convention center. The first hall was used for ticketing, the second was the function hall where booths and merchandisers were (this is the most congested part of the place T_T), and finally, the third hall was used as the main stage for the cosplay event.

Of course, I again looked for the Gundam Mobile Kits Caravan to have my share of Gundam thrills. I am most happy when I'm setting up these cute mechas. They're like my trophies. This time, we were given Gundam Astray 1/144 scale.
It took me two hours to finish it. After that, I strolled the whole place and took photos of the cosplayers. Here they are:

Superman and Clark Kent
On a side note, I can't help but share my most loved spot in the event. Tadah! It is this Hello Kitty booth. I love it! I love Hello Kitty!

Back to cosplay... My favorite cosplayer of the day is Jillian Ongsip as a Pokemon trainer. She carried it well with that Pikachu. Pikkkaaaachuuuuuu! :D
Jillian then gave me a cute business card after I took a photo of her. Because of it, I knew her name. :) She looks cute in the card too. :)

International Cosplayers also graced the event. They were the judges for the Project Cosplay Contest:

Jan Pesino Illenberger

Pinky Lu Xun from Indonesia
And yes! My most unforgettable performance of the day! Billy Gaga on stage performing the hits Beat It and Black and White by Michael Jackson. Hey! The lead singer was cosplaying MJ! His voice was even similar to his. As they all said, it was as if MJ came back to life!

I wasn't able to attend the second day of Cosplay Mania 2011. It would have been fun to watch the final leg of Cosplay Tournament of Champions. But on the positive side, I did watch the Manila leg last time. There were lots of cosplayers too. To read about it, just click here.

Cosplay truly makes people happy. Jillian and other cosplayers are passionate about their craft. SMX Convention Center was filled with grandiose costumes and mechas, each with different themes. Thanks to the organizers of this event, especially to cosplay.ph for bringing this fun-filled experience to cosplayers and con-goers.
