Herbalife Nutrition Fiesta

Last July 20, 2011, Herbalife Philippines held a unique celebration to welcome guests from the Glorietta roadshow. It was an event full of information nutrition, as true to the name. Other than that, they also served foods that were significantly healthy. It was held in the Herbalife office in Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue located in the City of Makati.

Dinner was first served along with free Herbalife samples of Shake, Herbal Aloe Concentrate, and Herbal Tea. I liked the Herbalife Shake so much because it was in my favorite chocolate flavor. Not only that, I knew that it was a healthy drink as well. Dishes include chicken wings, ham and egg sandwiches, fresh vermicelli, and fruits. My favorite dish of the night was the spaghetti in natural tomato sauce.

All the yummy –and healthy- food!
Fresh lumpia with carrot garnishing of some sort:
Fruits will never be absent!
And of course! Herbalife samples are there!

A short seminar followed after dinner. It was a talk about nutrition by Ms. Elise Santor. She discussed about the mechanism on how our bodies take in nutrients, and how we should eat the right stuff to replenish it. Furthermore, she suggested foods that are sources for good nutrition. One new information that she passed on to us is about Low Glycemic Index (GI) foods that are low in sugar. Lastly, she was very happy to tell us that we didn’t have to do the brainstorming in finding and choosing the right food to eat. The answer lies in Herbalife products: Formula 1 (the shake) provides us a complete meal with the needed protein intake; Formula 2 (the capsules) gives us the needed multivitamins and minerals; and third is the Cell Complex tablets, which help absorb all the nutrients supplied by Formula 1 and 2. Ms. Santor further added the Cell Complex product has Resveratrol, an antioxidant found in red wine, which has been known as the fountain of youth.

The talk lasted for about 30 minutes. I had a fun night filled with learning. Not only that, I got inspired in getting the right nutrition for my body. Health is, and always has been, a good investment.

Presenting The Starbucks 2014 Planner

There are a lot of 2014 planners available out there. For this post, let me share with you the 2014 Starbucks Planner. Every December, people are talking about it! The cover and the layouts are something to look forward to, as well. For this year, it came in four colors: yellow, magenta, brown, and black. The black one is the Philippine edition ( hmmm, tempting! ). I'm very much impressed because the cover feels like leather.  I will feature the magenta one. My friend owns this. I already have a planner for 2014, owning another doesn't make sense at all. Hehehe ~ So, I decided to take some photos of it and share what's inside. (^_^) Left: the box, Right: the planner.  The cover is embossed with coffee icons and Starbucks coffee blend logos. I noticed the symbol for their coffee Sumatra and the elephant icon for Kenya. The 2014 Starbucks Planner in magenta I saw the symbol of the Starbucks coffee blend Sumatra embossed on it. Here is a really cute featur

My Chouhou Gundam

I am so excited to write about the latest addition to my Gundam collection!  This time, I got it from the Gundam Caravan Booth last Best of Anime 2012 ! It was a fun-filled event full of cosplayers and various booths !  This time, we were given the Chouhou Gundam to setup. Uhm, I'm not sure if there is another name for this Gundam. However, the Katakana characters read as "Chouhou", so let me stick with that.  The box of Chouhou Gundam. Hey! This one is new! Other than the manual for setting up, there is also comics inside the box. Wow! It is great as I will get to know more about this Gundam! But time was of the essence, so I decided to move on with building and detailing and set aside reading for later. Comics inside the Chouhou Gundam box. So let us start with the steps in setting up. Here are the photos: We start off with the feet Then the head was next. Putting stickers on is hard, you know. Of course, we need the torso to connect the

Proud to be a Bella

May 21 2011 had been added to my list of memorable days thanks to the girls of Belle de Jour Power Planner. That special day was the BDJ Girls' Rendevous for the month of May. The theme was I Dream, therefore I can.  It was one of the biggest event to date. Almost 100 slots were available to be filled. The invitation to the event was given through various contests. I got my slot in this event through the Belle de Jour Facebook Fan Page. They posted a question at exactly 2:54 PM of May 5, 2011. They posted a question as their status which was: Question, Bellas:   How do you unwind/relax when you're stressed from school or work?   The first 25 BDJ Girls who will comment on THIS THREAD will get a slot at the BDJ Rendezvous: I Dream Therefore I Can! : ) When I saw that post, I immediately wrote "I watch my favorite teleserye." Woah! Believe it or not, I got the lucky 25th slot. Weee! The Rendevous was held in Ace Water Spa in Ortigas. I thought that swimming wi
